There is a tradition in the theatre - it is bad luck to mention the name of Shakespeare's play set in Scotland.

Thus it is referred to as the 'Scottish Play' so as not to invoke its unlucky name.

The thread here on relig*** is also referred to this way.

I thought it might have something to do with McJim and that photo under a kilt.

EDIT: I don't want that to sound like that was McJim in the photo, well it might have been, who knows?
