Where do I look for new parts for 89 GSX750F

It's a long story, but to cut it short I went in search of a problem (didn't find it yet):doh: and now I'm going to be looking for gasket kits and maybey some new bits like intake manifolds. As my local suzuki dealer wasn't interested in doing work on the bike ("too old" they said):argh:, I'm sure as hell not going there to get parts. Can anyone steer me in the right direction for parts on the web maybe? Aftermarket or genuine I don't care as long as they do the job and the price is right. I'm no mechanic so may be looking for more help/advise in the coming weeks.

While the shop may not want to work on it they should order you parts no problem or just find another shop. They will know if there is aftermarket parts available, just will need to have good details of what you are after & your model.

those motors are pretty bullet proof, tell us what it is doing and I am sure someone here will have a pretty good idea of what to do.

Wemoto in the UK have bits for your bike on this page (http://shop.wemoto.com/index.dyn?oid=1915505).
I have bought quite a few RC30 bits from them that are hard or expensive to get in New Zealand.
Have a look on their Ebay page too, they have regular specials of things like brake caliper seal kits, or engine gasket kits.
Postage is pretty reasonable, and takes around 10 days. Considering some parts ex Japan can take a month.

Original problem that bike shop didn't want to know about turned out to be torn diaphram. The "mechanic" who fixed it (replaced it with 2nd hand diaphram) ballanced the carbs with faulty gear and I initially got the bike back worse than it started. Finally got it all sorted. Couple of months later I had the same problem and decided to investigate myself. Found torn diaphram so replaced all four with new set. All was good. But slowly over about a month the problem seemed to return. More investigating, no torn diaphrams so hoped carb ballance would sort it. Borrowed Viffermans carb ballancing gages:niceone: and noted that 1, 2 &3 were all ballanced, 4 was the only one out. Took this as a sign of possible vacuum leak but couldn't find one so ballanced all four cylinders. Now it runs worse so put it back in the garage and pulled more bits off hoping to find a wee man holding a big red flag pointing to the problem cause that's about the only way I'll find it.
I'm planning to check the valve clearances and remove the intake manifolds (carbs are already off) to clean and check for perrishing or leaks. Replace manifold gaskets and any (or all) manifolds that require it. Can anyone advise me on cam chain/tensioner replacement. I.e is it a good idea/easy/expensive.
As you can tell I'm no mechanic.

I have a set of flat slide carbs you can have. They are off a late 80's gsxr 750
Mikuni 48b01e7z1. They're 34mm.
Let me know it could be a good solution for your probrems?
