If you get stuck, give eMoto a call, I don't think they are, but will probably know who is :)

i saw one of those at a sound of thunder a few years back, all hush and knowing looks as it was proudly rolled off the trailer etc.the smart money said it would be showing everything a clean pair of heels that weekend.

LMAO the only thing it showed was how the Italians should leave two strokes to the Japanese,it was slower than most of the 500 BSA singles:bye:

Last i heard it was still around, but the owner doesnt race it anymore<_<

Shaft Motorcycles were the ones that tried to sell the V dues, it was about 97 from memory,

I'll bet you $50 that if he manages to get his hands on one he'll be trading it on a GSXR1000 in short order and will never, ever look at another Italian bike. Which is deeply unfair to most Italian bikes but representative of why Bimota should have died in '92.

As the slogan for my largely unsuccessful range of slippers/running shoes goes: "Just don't do it."

No he will be stuck with it. Why would they trade it. Shops do trades to make a profit.

 It's to be an ornament not something that'll be ridden ;)

He's got the TC & a 72 XB GT Falcon already and is also looking at purchasing a limited edition SS Camaro form the US, so another addition to the collection isn't an issue.

Actually have been trying to persuade him into the XLCR Harley thats on TM

 As for trading on a gixxer :pinch: Don't need to trade anything when we're running a green dealership ;)

Even as an ornament it will cost him vast amounts of money. A Bimota is the only make of motorcycle that can crash and write itself off at a standstill. Without a rider. Or an engine running. Or a wheel turning.

:shutup:His money he can do what he wants with it
There's plenty of motorcycles that can better job of what you suggest other than just a Bimota

I own the domain bimota.co.nz because I was supposed to build the web site for him. It never happened.

Well here's the low-down of today's efforts :niceone:

After speaking directly to Stoney Creek Powersports this is where it's at:

They would not consider selling a aussie destined DB7 to anyone in NZ :nono: as we have an assigned Distributor here so they have an agreement not to deal directly with the NZ public unless it's through the NZ distributor.

So after being directed to who the NZ distributor is and finding out exactly what number of DB7s are destined for Australasia all the necessary information and details were collected and have been sent to Bimota for them to approve :)

There are 2 DB7s pre sold in Australia which are due there in about 6wks and another 2 planned to be sent out in 3-4mths.
There aren't any designated to be sent to NZ (as of yet )
$35k deposit and they're delivered directly from the Bimota factory

Stay tuned we're looking good to steal one of the aussies

whoah! $35k deposit. crikey.

by the way, if anyone rolls up on a Z650 kawasaki with the original pipes, spoked wheels etc, I'd be keen to buy it. or a GPZ550 but they're rockinghorse poo now.

Apparently a guy in Auckland (I think his name is Graeme Miller), operating under the Stoney Creek Powersports banner  Sells italian scooters as his main business but is the official NZ distributor. Operates as a separate entity to the Australian business.
Australia weren't prepared to deal with an NZ customer and said that we had to deal directly with the NZ distributor.

According to what we've been told there are a total of 14 air-marked for the Australasian market

 $35k dep to confirm the order and then the rest is paid once the order is processed

76-78 Z650 ?? and I presume you're meaning a twin shock GPZ550 with the handlebar mounted fly-screen fairing & not the later model Uni-Trak half fairing ?
