So If F3 SV650 are allowed in, then why not the 400's? Seems like the smaller bikes loose out every time. It's a hell of a frustration when things like that happen espicially when I made the effort to enter!
Has anything been sorted for the small bikes yet or are we just another forgotten class on the day?
Perhaps as stated in the original post for the endurance race....
"(If your bike has a 600 sticker on the side of it, then it is a 600, and will race in the over 600 class )"
I'll just put 600cc stickers on the bike (and maybe scare a few of 'em with the corner speed too!)

Hi WarrenW,
I understand your frustration mate, I too am frustrated by the lack of F3 bikes that entered. I had over 16 PMs, Texts and emails from eligble Junior class riders saying they would do it, but that only transfered to me receiving 9 entries (2 SV's of which are going into the senior, and also 1 Pre 89 FZR600). So only 6 F3 bikes entered! If I had of known that it wouldn't have been supported, I would have run another class. SuperMoto begged me to run them. But after 4 years of F3's supporting us at the TRRS, Chris and I wanted to run F3's. Unfortunately it didn't transpire!! :crybaby:
We tried, we really did.
As for the SV's. Having the F3 bikes run in their own class was a condition from MNZ, not ours. Under 600cc bikes were not allowed in with the Seniors. Period. Not our call. So this means that the SV's can run in with the Seniors.
Really sorry you couldn't be accommodated, considering you were so quick to support us.
I can't believe that there weren't 15 more F3 bikes around the country that could have entered?
Anyway, sorry for your disapointment.
On another note.
The good b@stards at MotoTT in Taupo are going to have 2 hours for trackday riders in the morning of the Senior endurance race. There will be more info on MotoTT's website very very soon!! Very limited spaces available!! Keep an eye on their site and KB!

Thanks for the clarification Scrivvy. Found the web site and will keep an eye on it. Don't really like the idea of been tied in with potentially "Superbike" machines with maybe untrained pilots on top. Could lead to a bit of carnage similar to waht we see in some other track days.
Best of luck with the endurance, we WILL be there for the 2 days prior and depending upon the format for the track day maybe the day after. If we don't ride I may (said carefully) be able to lend a hand running things (flags, pit lane etc).

Just wondering how the race crash situation will work with the 3 hour setup?
If ambulance needs to go onto the track, will race be stopped? Or a safety car/(bike) lead a slow procession of bikes around (like Bathurst)?

I think this will be fine.
Also if crashed bikes need to be picked up it should be quick enough use a ute with a ramp (xr8 etc) with the two guys weil it up the ramp, slap a handlebar bra onto it and go?
Worth some planning ;)

yes racey rider we have a pace car that everyone will follow if we have to send ambulance out, not sure about crashed bikes at this stage, but i think if you cant get it back to pits on your own then it stays out there, otherwise the race could keep on being interupted. just dont crash

Mean poster man. That's a hardcore pic of Shaun that I love, but I don't think we'll be doing too many jumps for the crowd. Maybe get a small ramp in to up the ante or something.

Thanks again from the B.A.D.D Team
I'll be working on the Endurance writeup over the next few days.
Im not a sports journo, but I'll give it a crack to honour everybodies ride.
If theres anything specific you'd like me to say/report..or if you have any photos, Id like to do a collage of photos to add to the article.
I hope to be able to have it done and complete (Got a few other things on the go..) in the next couple of weeks. Apologies for the delay:soon:

Hi everyone,
Had a talk with Chris Lawrance about this years B.A.D.D. Endurance race.
We will possibly change the format of the weekend, to enable the endurance race to be viewed by a heck of a lot more people. Once Chris comes back from racing his chair at Ruapuna, we'll get right back into the organising side of things.
Last years event was just a practice run for this year.
Jos Mason, the wicked organiser from B.A.D.D. has informed me that she'd like to organise a toy run for this event, with riders coming from Palmy, Hamilton, Napier, Tauranga, Auckland and more to spectate!! This would be great for the riders to race infront of a lot larger crowd!!
Jos has even started the ball rolling on getting a band for the end of day 1's social!! Free food, free beers, and even a band! What more could 1 want!!
Where does she get the stamina??
For more info on B.A.D.D. visit: www.badd.co.nz (http://www.badd.co.nz)
Jos will have a report written up soon on the inaugural B.A.D.D. 3 Hour Endurance race.
Cheers everyone.
