well, after nearly a year as a new convert, (fast tracaked my license with a DD course etc)I have gone from nervously sitting the BHS, to passing my full test today, and gleefully collecting my new bike- a VFR800 which has been waiting patiently a few weeks for me
naturally had to take the day off to celecrate such a momentus occasion, and the weather Gods smiled.
testing woman at Orewa very nice, they now have hand-held radios to tell you what to do. Not a lot of traffic, and pretty easy I gotta say, as long as you aren't riding like a total moron. :weird:
high points to date: nothing beats collecting a new bike :2thumbsup
low point: seeing the maturity of my fellow yoof-class mates in the defensive driving class and knowing we are sharing the same road. :baby:
did about 150 k's up North-norrth west of Auckland. saw lots of bikes, nodded a Postie, who didn't nod back.:scooter: ( do they ever?), and took it nice and easy while we became 'acquainted"
well as seems to be the standard operating procedure, below is a pic of my new ride, now if I can only figure out how to get it downstairs into the bedroom......
thanks for all your advice and good humour, see you out there :headbang:
