I went on it last year and it went from Kohi all the way along the Waterfront then hit the north western motorway and got off at Western Springs and that's where it stopped... Craaaaazy how many bikes there are though.

Apologies - Ride travels from Selwyn college along the waterfront through the bottom of Parnell onto the North Western motorway and off at Western Springs finishing at Western Springs Stadium for the prizes and raffle draw.
Ride takes about 40 mins to complete.
We have a full police escort and green light wave with the traffic lights.
Cheers
Lisa.

We have been trying to purchase some of the pink vest to no avail. We were donated the vests from a function we helped with last year - but have been unable to get any more.

Yes we will be selling the raffle tickets to win the scooter on the day. Also there will be other raffles for loads of great stuff. We have a fantastic list of sponsors who have been VERY generous with their product. Lots of spot prizes too, so make sure you keep the number that is inside the bag with your badge as we draw these out for the spot prizes.

Hey guys.. I'm definitely heading along to this, as I have done for the last few years. Well worth supporting.
This year I have two young boys (15 & 12) to look after for the day and can only ride one bike :weep:. Not wanting to leave them behind and miss out, if anyone would be willing to help me out with a ride for one can you PM me
We hail from Titirangi.

Hi, what is the exact route of this ride expecially from Selwyn college, water front to north western motorway?
If I know where we going I can tell my friends in city(they'll be studying at uni, poor them!) to wait at somewhere along the route and they can wave to us :p

Get your uni friends to test you on reading comprehension while they at it:shifty:

That map is fabulous - thank you....I wouldn't have been able to manage that!
We actually travel down St Heliers Bay Road to the waterfront and then a long Tamaki Drive.

Fantastic fun and I would especially like to thank PirateJaffa who offered his services to ferry one of my lads (12 years) and put a great end to the school holidays for him.
Great to be a part of this ride and will be back yet again next year!!!

Congradulations to all the Auckland WIMA ladies for an outstanding ride yesterday. That would be one of the best ones I've ridden on in a long time. It was well worth the trip up to attend. Well done. :2thumbsup
See you next year.

I went on the ride. A good chance to take the SL out. Great weather and I believe that there were about 360 bikes of all sorts and more than $13,000 was raised for Breast Cancer Research.
A great effort from WIMA and all others involved, including the Boys(and girls) in blue who took over traffic control.
How come this sort of thing isn't first item up on the 6 o'clock news??
