The Good - wonderful sunny Sunday at last, took the old bike out for a dose of vitamin D, nice solo ride before a planned meeting up with some others until...

The Bad - flat tyre in middle of nowhere. Wheel off, tyre levers out, tyre ok, tear in tube has emerged from behind a previous shop patch  all patched and away i go heading for home and half way there same again :argh: tube now beyond hope.

The Helpful - the three bikers from Auckland who stopped to assist on the first and the three local bikers who stopped and helped at the second - including their mate who dropped me home so i could get a trailer etc. Box of beer for his troubles.

Plenty of cars passed without looking, zero bikes passed without stopping - good on you guys.

Tis warming to hear the good stuff. You dont see cage drivers stopping to help other cage drivers eh. We have to keep an eye out for each other :niceone:

You dont see cage drivers stopping to help other cage drivers eh.I have ALWAYS done that. If anyone is stopped on the side of the road looking a bit lost, I go make sure they are ok. Done this for 25 years.

Fucked if I would know what to do with a sportbike tyre though..

I have a similair story..

Good - Sunny Sunday, ride into the Hunuas.. Damn Kawakawa bay and its sliding mud!

Bad - Side stand playing up.

Helpful - 15+ bikes that all either slowed down, stopped or at least checked I was okay. Waved every single bike through but no one went past without checking!

Ugly - me doing the repairs! hahaha ended up just looping the damn wire.

Was an awesome road I had never travelled too! :headbang:
