I took my UZ125 into the local suzuki shop (Fivestar suzuki) yesterday to get its very first service (at 1000km's) in exchange for the 125 i recieved a 1997 Suzuki TL1000s, (complete with Two brothers Racing Exhausts ) to get around on for the day or two before getting the UZ back again all freshened up. :woohoo:

I went for a bit of a cruise around come of the outer local roads to experience the bike without traffic and once i got home had a look at the tires and thought they looked ok but noticed all the way around on the outer edges of the front tire had what almost looked like light wire brush marks,

Does anyone know why they might be like that??

The tires are Pirelli Diablo's and both are stamped as being made in '07...

The UZ wasnt ready when i went to pick it up today so i've still got the TL for now :niceone:

Somebody has scrubbed the tires for you with a wire brush. This improves the grip considerably because it removes the slippery protective outer layer which is applied to new tyres at the factory.

Errrrm ok... im familiar with the usual wear patterns in tires etc (have been racing the Vic winter series) but thought the patterns were just a bit 'odd', i thought maybe from loading and unloading onto a bike trailer, but there was just too many of them for it to come off the ramps/wheel guides.

Just found my new Avatar tagline....:wari:

I had to give the TL back today :(

Was looking at it in the shed last night and realised it had polished rims under all the crud, and the Two brothers Zorsts were also polished ally under all the crud, had to give it all a quick polish even though it wasn't mine :P
