Now this is going to sound odd, but when it finally rained when I was wearing my Gericke ‘Blizzard’ waterproof over-trousers, it came as something of a relief, as I was finally able to use them for their intended purpose!

So what was I doing with them before? Well one cold and nasty day – when it looked very much like it was going to pour down before day end - I slipped these on, just in case it started when I was on the road.

And here comes the unexpected result... click here to read the rest of this review (http://www.bobpickett.co.uk/bkit/gerickeblizzard.htm)

Waterproof over-trousers that work, plus help keep your legs warm. Well worth buying, but you might want to slip them on before you start riding.

I was just struck by how warm these were. I've had overtrousers from camping shops before now (so just waterproof material outers, no lining) - and they kept off the wet (which is their job after all!) - but didn't insulate to the degree that webbed lined ones, like the Blizzard, provide.

Definite bonus.
