PirateJafa and i will be embarking on a trip south of the bombays on the 10th/11th October, destination: Dannevirke, Hawkes Bay to pickup a couple of these: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=176675111
We'll be towing an empty trailer down there, and a half? full one back...
Seeking petrol fund assistance in return for collecting/delivering goods that reside roughly along our route...
Current route is: SH1 but west of rupehu to Palmy, then up to Dannevirke, and returning via Napier/Hastings->Taupo (if anyone has stuff there, else we'll just go back the way we came)
What have ye/Can ye move into position in time?

I know someone heading down from palmy to Wellington on the 12th Oct with an empty wagon. You can store the parts either with him or me until that weekend if thats helpful? He already owns 2 NC29s as well so I'd say he'd look after your gear pretty good.

Cheers D-D but I will probably come up and pick it up so I have plenty time to sort it.

Yer, we're not looking to get rich, so whatever people can chuck towards our petrol fund is a bonus.
Dont expect the sidecars will fill the trailer with our awesome packing skills, so plenty of room here too.

We will be leaving Auckland approximately 3pm on the 10th (Friday).
So should be hitting Palmy around 11pm, then either rocking onwards to Dannevirke or if there are any KBers will floorspace to spare we might catch some shuteye there.
Itinerary is open to any changes at this point.

No I don't. And since Squiggles isn't the driver you might want to share them with a couple of the other folk who'll be in the Doomwagon. ;)

Ooooh this could be interesting. Motorb vs. Hanne. The Fight of the Golden Locks!
Taking all bets.

must've smelled we were bikers... or the beer....
or the twelve hour clutch burning, tyre smoking , trailer drifting, coolant "venting", and breaching-terms-of-restricted-license-conditions driving trip down there got their attention for the cone wielding victory lap back up north :innocent:
