Freighting stuff

Hey,
as one you knows i have got dads mag wheel up here in Auck being fixed and now need to get it back down to New Plymouth.
What is the cheapest/safest method of sending stuff this big cross country?

Best bet is a courier company, I guess.

If it's just one rim then box it up with lots of padding. My 2 cents worth pack it in a box, and pack that box inside another with padding. Talk to a courier company. should be about $7 for north island up to 15kg, $10 for south island up to 10 kg's.

If it's more than one rim, then it might be an idea to take a drive down and see him at the same time and do the family thing.
