Seriously if he doesn't have boots he shouldn't be riding a bike. Sand-shoes FFS!
We don't want to become as Lax as the pocket bike crew. Same rules as MNZ, no exceptions.

We need to follow the minmum requirements of race-gear.

That was a pretty good day in the end. The wind was a little icy but the rain stayed away and the track stayed dry. Apart from Nudemetalz and F5Dave no incidents - unless you count Fishie crashing all the time. And the Bum Pants made a welcome return.
Best thing I saw - the guy on the mad cow (can't remember his name) doing the 12 o'clock wheelie off the start line. Would have been better if you'd stayed on mate! The quick run alongside the bike and leap on was classic.

I crashed too. Was cunning enough to do it on the back corner and pretend that no one saw me.
Best meet yet, only fell off once. Hels best be carefull next time in case my chain manages to stay on for more than 5 laps...

Yeah my finger & various knuckles have gone through a range of colours & that was with armoured gloves on a slow corner. Any pillock who rides on the road without gloves should pay some attn.
I really thought that track incarnation was a bit lame, but I can see having helped throw the tyres out how it is easy to end up like that.
The only corner that you could lean on was the one closest to the pits. The rest were just weaving through them while accelerating. No real skill required. The end section (at least clockwise) was flat knackers on the straight & then brake heavily trying to just about clip the flat tyre marker on the left on the way in (woe & betide anyone who hit it while trying that) & picking your way through in about 1st gear.

Sorry 'bout that, Dave. I should have controlled my horsies and tyres a little better
My helmet is a write off, and I have some good (?) grazes on my leg as well as a semi-functioning arm still. Nurse said it looks like stretched ligament so not too worried. Just want to be 100% for Kaitoke. :doctor:
Yeah I found going hard (clockwise) into that kink you had to brake really hard and I had some rear wheel leaving the ground quite often which made things interesting...
What am talking about !!! I only got 2 laps in for the day,...

I thought the tight bit at the end was interesting, going clockwise it created a passing opportunity, being at the back and slow it was an opportunity for me to run wide on it and let faster riders lapping me though!
