Adventure/DP bike hire near coromandel?

A friend of mine is interested in giving the adventure riding thing a go, and wants to hire a suitable bike for a weekend, to do some exploring around Coromandel.

Does anyone know where you would be able to hire a dual purpose bike for a moderately short person in the Coromandel/Waikato/BOP area? She's a similar height to me (around 5'4"), and has a full licence, lots of on road riding experience etc.

They used to be based in Kuaotunu but someone told me they have since moved to Whitianga. They have Suzuki DR650`s for hire.

Sorry Rosie - Malcolm closed in february this year- I have the only bikes to rent on the peninsula and I dont do road legal bikes. Have a look on my website at the rides though- we trailer the bikes section to section and still ride all the good stuff- this way you dont have to contend with the foriegn campervan drivers !:msn-wink:

Thanks for all the info. We are looking for a bike to tag along on Cary's Coromandel ride (http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/showthread.php?t=81106), so it would need to be road legal :(
