View Full Version : Guy on an early Fireblade, yellow & black leathers, yet more bad reps

while stopped at a set of lights in the left lane in my tintop saw a Fartblood coming up behind, as the lights went green I was expecting a lane split (no probs there) so started moving over to the curb to give him a bit of room although there was already plenty between the 2 lanes but no way, our hero passes between me & the curb. Just down the road I pull into a gassy & the guy behind & beside me at the time both pull in for gas as well & express their opinions & stating if they see him again they wont be braking for him, right of way or not. I mentioned I ride bikes too & dont always stick to the law but this was a bit silly. These guys accept that bikes go a bit quick, lane split & generally push the boundries but this guy has done bikers reps no favours.

Sticking to the mature side of life... It isn't so bad that the guy undertook you. It's his life, and his ticket if Mr Plod pulls him over for it. Think about more serious things... like how I am going to take over the world.

Yep. And it happens time and time and time again on a daily basis in NZ.
But do the riders themselves see any problem? Not a chance in hell.
Their shit never stinks.

The problem here mate is no i don't give a shit at all and why should i?Somewhere in this fair land a dog probably shat right next to a "No dogs allowed sign":cry:don't see it being mentioned here, the constant whinging about someone doing something on anything with 2 wheels is kind of lame especially on an interweb forum where the instigator of said crime probably wont see it seems pointless.Thing that i find really absurd is there's so many safety nazis on a motorcycle based website, bit like finding jews on a site devoted to worshipping the Waffen SS.

Well it was like how i was having a chat with a girl at work not long ago who was from Auckland. I was mentioning how i'm glad i don't have to commute in Auckland traffic on my bike as the motorways sound like mayhem up there.
She just shook her head and said motorcyclists do such stupid shit all the time.
So if the general public doesn't have much sympathy for motorcyclist and thinks we are a bunch of fuckwits... then that translates to politicians and lawmakers having the same view... which translates to us being on the pointy end of the stick.

Enjoy it while you can but don't give a shit..??
Even if that means fucking things up for the next generation of motorcycles?
Isn't that a rather shortsighted, selfish and self-centred attitude?

Awww bugga! And here I'm thinking all along we could race on the motorway cos when it's three lanes we get to have one each to race along between the cagers. I did commute through to Orks for a while and there was this guy on an R1 used to get off at Te Iringi drive but from orks to there we used to have a blast. Must admit it got a bit silly at times.
