No longer a bike - but after the Spyder experience I know this would actually be a lot of fun.

We met up with the Vancouver Spyder dealer in Lillooet Canada. Despite drooling over it, Mrs H was the only person he let take it for a ride.

The 990 Rotex sounds very nice.

Coming soon to dealers near you, I understand. One in Lower Hutt plans to have a couple of demonstrators available very soon.

A completely new market segment opens, as you only need a car license to "drive" one.

Basically its a quad bike innit? Road-legal quads are quite popular in europe, and I can't see why they cannot be legal in NZ. Tyres, indicators, lights, rego.. Even with the proper tyres etc, at motorway speeds they could potentially be very dangerous. Some countries have a special class of license for them.

Haven't you just contradicted yourself?

Haven't you just contradicted yourself? It would be if I was speaking "facts", but thats just me wondering out loud. Perhaps if someone knows the facts they will fill us in.

The last time I was at Haldanes they had a yellow one on the floor.

Looks like an interesting idea. Though I don't know how well I'd cope without any body roll.

I understand that once you get the hang of them, they go like stink through twisties.

I prefer the look of these ones myself. They've made 3 and 4-wheeled versions. Not sure if you can buy them yet, but damn they look like fun.

See - you worked it out. There is a punctuation/keystroke to salience ratio. Hitcher may rail, but waynes (sic) world quotaions are a blean below cantbearsedness.

You can't cross up a standard Spyder like that - with power anyway.

It has independent processors working the traction and stability systems.

I had it on a skid pan of sorts and gave it serious welly. It will break loose and rark up delightfully, but as soon as it starts to get out of shape the management systems take over.

I had it during the weather bombs - faster over woodcocks hill than a bike in those conditions.
