I have a 2007 Rmz450 the front brakes constantly rubb you can hear it when you are riding, and if the bikes on a stand the wheel is hard to spin. So far I have stripped the caliper greased up everything and still the problem. Anyone encountered this or any suggestions where to from hear? Disc is slighty warped but this is constant rubbing not just one area. Any help appreciated as this is very annoying.

Hi there-Have you changed a brake lever recently?- a friend of mine got Yamaha to change his broken brake lever whilst bike was getting serviced - when he got the bike back he rode it for 3 mins and it locked up-so bad that he had to open the bleed nipple on caliper. The problem was not going away so he eventually took it back to Yamaha who basically were all day finding the cause - which was simple- the lever they supplied was an aftermarket one which prevented the plunger in the master cylinder to retreat right back to its resting position. This caused the seal on the plunger to obstruct the small hole into the reservoir, so when the rotor expanded with heat the fluid could not pass up into the reservoir. They drilled a very small hole in the lever to allow for free play and the problem went away.If you havent changed a brake lever then checking the following might help.
Did the caliper piston retreat right in?
Were both sliders working their full length?
Is the rotor warped to one side maybe?
Are spindle bushes/spacers in their correct order?
Take your brake pads out and see if the rotor is fairly central in the gap of the caliper when you spin it. Let us know how you get on.

Ive had this happen before on cbr250. one of the front disks was warped. tried bleeding and resetting the calipers but would still rub on a section (warped bit) of rotor. couldnt do nothing. still raced on it but. at 190kph going on the brakes I still had plenty of brake. no noticable fade problems. it probabley slowed me down a bit though with the rubbing.
