I came across this most excellent application on the Something Awful forums.

Basically it is a free web based application that allows users to upload and view speed camera locations.

There's also an iPhone version - but it costs a few bucks through the iTunes app store.

I did a few quick searches and it looks like people have started loading speed camera locations for Auckland, Hamilton, Wellington, Christchurch, Dunedin etc.

Enjoy!

I added a few more locations for Auckland.

If you have a gps, there are files available that have the cameras loaded as points of interest (or POI for short), and they can even be loaded with the speed limit, so it only flashes up if you're over the loaded speed...

Yep. The Speedtrap folks offer the POI files via a subscription service:

The file format is in csv or ov2 and you can install it to your Garmin / Tom Tom / Megellan / Navman / Mio mobile GPS device or other compatible system.
