I have stripped a couple of threads on my engine cover after replacing the starter motor. I need to get them helicoiled but have no idea where to go to get it done, would a bike shop do the job? I live in East Auckland, can anyone recommend a place to get it done? I'm leaking oil, but not too bad. It's rideable! Don't tell me to buy a kit and do it myself! I would be lucky to drill in a straight line, on a good day! Cheers

Any Engine Recond shop could do it an maybe your local garage/bike shop may be able to help.

I can probably help seeing as you're in East Auckland. I can re-tap the hole to clean it up and then you can probably go another 5mm on bolt length without resorting to a helicoil. If you're not too aggressive with your bolts it should be fine. I don't want any $ for it.
PM if you want.
