Tag removal?

Did a search. Couldn't find much. Are tags that are not offensive, bad language etc being removed for some unknown reason?
is there a reasoning behind it
Who's the fat controller with the button?
Will my hemorrhoids ever ease up?

there's a limit on the number of tags the software tracks. As more are added, older, unused ones drop off
