I just received my superbrace for the V-Strom.
In the instructions it mentions: Loosen axle pinch bolts.
OK - what the hell are Loosen axle pinch bolts?
Sorry for the stupid question.

They're the wee bolts on the bottom of the forkes that pinch up tight on your axle...when loosened give your fork lower a wee tap with a mallet to centre them on the axle because if you dont the forks get squeezed which leads to sticktion off the fork tubes....

yeah, what he said. You only do your axle up so tight, and need to have to alignment correct to stop the above happening. Then the pinch bolts help stop the thing from coming undone.

If U dont ask you will not find out. Many older bikes did not have pinch bolts, so there is a chance that we have not all been confronted with this issue.
