I just recieved this in my email about the outside power points at Manfield

We have over the last three weeks been undertaking an upgrade programme to all "outdoor" power outlet boxes at Manfeild...these include those in the Pits of the race circuit and those around the Park.
This has been done because none of these power boxes met electrical supply compliance for outdoor hot points.

Every box has been upgraded to "Caravan" three pin plug outlets...there are no longer standard three pin house type hot points in these boxes.

Manfeild will have available for hire the appropriate Caravan plug with a lead attached to a single phase double plug outlet. We have six available for hire.

From now on our Power Boxes will be locked when not in use. The cost of power has continued to increase and we will be seeking a small fee from competitors/campers for power use per day.

I have to admit the power boxes were dodgey - I have the adapter I wonder how much "small fee" is ?

Better take the generator next Friday then, prob cheaper than hiring a lead and paying for power.

Thanks for that info!

What secret society do we need to be a member of to receive these letters?

I couldn't see any info at Manfeilds home page.

Is there anyone going up that can help with my suspension settings?

I'm going up on 19th 20th, I assume you can pay on the day.
What I know about suspension you could write on a postage stamp.
I don't know why we are here, the cosmos is made of really, really, really small stringy things

Hang on, isn't this what the clubs have been paying for with the track hire fees?

They're probably going to start charging for the use of the rumble strips soon. Tight arses.

So the ones in the pit garages are outdoor then? Sounds like a lot of wank to me.

It should be fairly close if RT has had a crack at them mate, are you doing the test day on the friday? That should give ya a bit of "special time" to get to know your forks again:rolleyes:
Just remember to only change 1 thing at a time when trying different settings.

It is all user pays now at Manfeild. I guess we can be grateful that we don't have to pay to use the loos - yet lol. Only 6 plugs???!!!!

Do you know how to setup static sag ? Get that done first, then Robert may have some suggestions on the starting points for compression and rebound.

The losing the front mental block thing... well you'll have to work on that yourself, but if the suspension has a good starting point then that is one less worry point.

Yeah he's pretty good, he did the forks on my Hornet and the static sag and ride height were spot on. He even somehow knew that when I said I was 95 KG I really meant I was 98 KG

Maybe bring some fork oil in a syringes so that if the forks are bottoming out you can quickly tap them up at the track.

yes 6 plugs - I wonder how many sockets they put in??

Hmm how many sets of tyre warmers can you run off one caravan adapter before the circuit breakers blow.

Aaaaargh, why use caravan outlets? You can get weatherproof GPO's that would suit most people far better than those bloody things. Then again this is Manfeild, who repair the track one week and let trucks loose on it the next......
