15t fit fine on my klx. took it off though cause the engine wasnt really coping with it... very rarely acutally used the 6th gear with it on.

time for facts
13t = standard
14t fits with no modifaction
conveniently i had one in the shed that i had taken off the girly bike to gear it down (girly bike = crf250)
15t might fit but you would need to grind down the chain guard thing and the tip off the swingarm. i wouldnt do that.
note the times of these posts. quite convenient living in a small city, you can whip home and do things- like change sprockets. now back at work again. and i picked up some smoko.

yeah I'll take it.
what do you want with tall gearing??
i wouldn'tve said the bike fell apart, had to loosen the axle, adjust the chain adjusters, remove the chain guard up front to fit the chain on the sprocket past it, then refit everything.
actually falling apart... isnt that something yamaha's are quite good for?

I would've said that is Kawasaki :girlfight: Honda would have to be one of the greatest engineered bikes on the market, solid and reliable!

I liked the 14t on the front got you out of first gear and onto second in the tight stuff therefore a bit smoother, longer in the gear so not so many changes, Tractors better as well. I reckon much better for a bike your using mainly for enduro stuff. 14t and fly wheel weight good mods for a woods rider of my level anyway. That or buy an exc!! LOL!!!:Pokey:

while we're taking the piss out of cheese - cheese u r a pussy
seriously tho, had a bit of a play on the bike today down on the dunes at the beach 2 minutes from my house :Pokey: and id say the bike is not up for any sort of trail or enduro riding with the gearing set so high.
it is however just right for what im intending to do with it, and thats have a go on the speedway circuit on a trial run of what may be a new class - mx bikes

Are you trying to save on fuel Sam lol?Or is the CR so powerful that you have to tame it a bit with long legs. Shall we call you "Overdrive" from now on mate? :woohoo:

I've riden with boom and he can handle the instant on type power much better than cheese or me or most people!
Your bang on actually Blacksmith a huge amount of people tame it with long legs (overdrive) its essentually not an Enduro bike its a pure MX bike. A 14T front is a pretty standard mod for the CR250. Same power pretty much as a 450 4 stroke but it delivers it an one hell of a bigger rush!! The 14T smoothes this quite a bit, more than B000M likes by the sound of it, but it was real good for me.

lol, but if you read my post above you would see im attempting to set it up for the correct gearing for a speedway track. i found it bloody useless geared as it is for banging around the dunes. but as far as an open track goes then the 14t should be the tho

Did some flat-track racing earlier this year (Nelson club centenary at Richmond Racecourse) and it was a lotta fun. The 200 was geared up quite a bit, via a smaller rear sprocket from the road KTM. Borderline geared too tall, I think. Shame it was essentially a one-off event, I'd do better now I reckon after talking to a speedway rider about technique.
