I cant find any anywhere. Repco and supercheap dont do it.

Ive started buying bigger indicators (pissed off with micros blowing, and changing the bulbs is impossibile), and orange lenses look gay, so need to paint them.

also not going to pay $20usd for shipping on ebay...

any help appreciated.

i think its called VHT Niteshade, i havent seen it for years, maybe because it is now illegal?

Tinting -

It is illegal to apply any kind of tint film, tint paint or opaque sticker to any lamp which has a function other than decoration (eg non-cosmetic).

But you can buy indicators with smoked lenses?

you sure can, its just illegal to tint them yourself, blame the boy racers who basically used to just paint them with black paint.

Bugger.

everyone has to promise not to laugh at my orange indicators then. The cbr has one set, and the drz has two...
at least I wont have to spend $50 everytime a bulb blows as I cant either find a bulb, or change it...

Any model shop, or contact Pioneer.

instead of using a solid black paint, head into a model shop and buy some Tamiya brand Smoke paint for around 5-6 dollars for a small pot (around 20ml). It is a transparent black and not a solid black tint so should work fine.

Why would anyone laugh at orange indicators? And why would you care if they did?

i got some from repco too, i didnt like it tho, i tried to tint a screen, it came out crap, maybe ok on the inside of the indicators. its spose to run and the runs are spose to even out, not!
on a window it says spray the top 3/4 and it will run over the last 1/4 and even out, not! its shit!

oh yer, you could do the old boy racer trick, a black stocking over it.

if you just coated the whole screen with it do you think it would have worked out better? I was thinking abou t spraying mine as i'm a cheap bastard (more like broke) and don't wont to fork out for a tinted screen....(the dash lights are invisible in the sun with the clear screen on my bike)

(the dash lights are invisible in the sun with the clear screen on my bike)Somewhere on the net there's a site that makes replacement bulbs for dashboards out of LEDS (i.e. LEDs with a resistor and the right plug thingy on the end)... they also make them out of superbrite white LEDs, maybe those might help?

iv been thru it, i got a 2nd clear screen tried and ended up buying a tinted screen from trade me, so, id say just pay $100 and get one, they dont fit as well as my stock one, i spose it depends on ya bike, but its ok.
the thing with the paint is its surposed to run, but the runs are ment to even out, but didnt for me, maybe it was too cold i duno, but think ud be better off painting it with normal black paint, i didnt want to, but hey, you dont look thru it, iv red on another site. they said if you have a radar just dont use metalick paint. i should have now, oh yer, paint the inside.
good luck.
