KB Off-Road Poker Run, of sorts...

Well this started out with the KB boys getting a might cocky and Choppa asked who was the fast guys out there... well we all know don't we.:headbang:

Well, infact we don't, as different guys/girls like to ride and race in different terrain.

So, as a result in another thread that we conveniently jacked:dodge: we chucked around a few ideas. As a result we concluded that (well I did) we should have a Poker type run with proceeds going to the Westpac Rescue Chopper.

So the concept as I percieve it is that we start after The Sandpit closes on a Saturday at about 5-6 pm and have a GNCC type start. One loop around the MX track then into the tracks.

Heres the twist.:(

Each rider gets a map with the first cards position on it. How you get there is your concern. However you must follow the correct directions on the tracks (most important)at all times, but you may go bush or cross country. Shit I love bush bashing.

You may also take the fast routes but they may not be the quickest. But be aware that you may find that there are gates that could be closed and deviations inplace, you like tight..nah you must go open and vice versa, so therefore you could have to backtrack to find another route.:mad:

We will have people on the gates and they will just open and close them all arvo and intermitently. Pot luck. you may even get sent up the road, He he!

Once you have got the first card(just a coded number) then return to base, get another map with the next location on then away you go for the next card.

The winner is the winner but the overall winner is the rider with the best hand.

Entry $30 and we will put on a feed and donate all to $ Westpac.
The missus is out glueing Pinecones to plates as I type...wheres my dinner women!!:girlfight:

Id be in, often thought why you guys dont do some sort of event ideal place for it, would also be a ideal place for timed sprint races, on several tracks

Sign on is anytime during the day on a seperate register. Race start time will be about 5.00 - 5.30 pm.
$30 to enter and proceeds go to Westpac (not the freakin bank) Trust
Open to KB riders and immediate friends (this won't be openly advertised, or should we?)It would be neat to have about 30 - 40 to make it worth while.

Pies and coke (well lemon aide for some)after every lap is an option to be decided by you guys and girls in this forum. Yes/No

I envisage that this event should take about 1-1.5 hours to complete.
There will be two winners, no make that three. Fastest finisher, best poker hand and West Pac Trust.

I'll try and hit some sponsors up for some spot prizes as well. ( Kawasaki KXF 450 would be nice...:D ) yeah right. but hey if anyone can help then that would be cool.

Open Wed thru till Sunday. Closed Monday for track grooming(Wednesday being the day to ride as the mid week girls know) and closed Tuesday so the criminals can ride for free, cut the fences and rob us again.

But, hey wait, we've changed our routine and will continue to do so. So now we could have criminals confronted with tractors, plus I'm not working so rodent control is taking place Mon/Tues (damn missed that rabbit but got me a thief).

Open all through the holidays except Mondays and Tuesdays and Xmas day.
