In a word.......'Be Yourself'!!!! (well ok, two words)
I made Anne laugh right from the get go, we didnt meet for six months after our first online contact, thats another mistake people make. They think that, because they 'get on' at first, that they are matched....not so. Give it time, dont meet in the first week or the second, leave it as as possible, well it worked for us.

Seriously though, just for a moment mind, so much of our leisure time these days seems to be spent online. Social networking via the internet has become the norm. It is nothing unusual to make a contact via the net these days.

Certainly for me when I was single there was no way I could have got out and about, well I guess I could have but...

I had no money and three young children. Much as I love a drink and a laugh, there is no way I would have ever gone to a club by myself. My brother took me out one Friday night in Auckland, was enough to put me off going out as a single girl for life frankly. Living in a small town there was a reputation to be preserved (mine was already shot to pieces anyway thanks to my ex) so there was no way I was going to prove it correct or otherwise...<_<

Being on ICQ back in the day was a cool way to talk to my family overseas, they were all I had to lean on all said and done. Getting a smart, funny message from some man, that made me laugh out loud was such a treat.

The rest as they say is history...

i met my exhusband online, I was a single mum, at Tech during the day and worked at the warehouse at night filling shelves, needless to say there was very little time for anything, I rarely drunk then, didnt do the pub or club scene, a friend got me into New Zealand Island chatroom, met him, spoke for a week then met (we lived ah hour away from each other) the day we met we were inseperable for 8 years. Turned to crap, ended and now Im in KB lol ... not for dating or finding a partner mind, here for the freedom and the passion. :niceone:

I tried the online dating thing. The 3 blokes I met in person turned out to not all they were cracked up to be on their profile. One of the guys I had actually met a few years before when he had been a colleague of my Mum's. I ended up seeing him for about a month, but what an ar$ehole he turned out to be!

I met my husband at a sewer overflow. 'Nuff said really ;)

New years eve 2000,went on the town as ya do,first stop in Hawera was Morrisons with a few mates, saw an ex g/f said high & by,after several more places and getting more pissed as you do,mate said about 12.30 come to the Dom have someone to meet you,we clicked immediately, next day out to Oakura beach carnival(after a beer at a local pub at 11.01am which was not good),proposed on the 4th Jan 2001,still together through absolute thick and thin.:woohoo:

She is the rock of my life, chemo and radiation are fine, but knowing you have to live for family, kids and the special person in your life gives you the mental determination to fight for everything.

And for someone who did say emphatically"I DON'T NEED MOTORBIKE GEAR","I WILL NOT GET ON THE BACK"has new gear and does enjoy pillioning.:scooter:She must be obeyed, but shit that is a small thing to have to return lol.:bash:
