I've owned 4 CBR250RR's (1 race one in Aussie, 2 road ones in NZ and one write off for spares) and sadly this will probably be the last one. This has also been the best one. The handling on these bikes is amazing. I have ridden lots of bikes, but the way these go around corners is comparable only with GP bikes. I have raced this one once at the PMCC meeting end of '07, and has done a track day with my "slow" dad on it. I've been living in Aussie all year so it hasn't been used much till I got back about a month ago.

Really sad, the end of an era for me. Just bought TM900's VFR400R, and it felt very similar to the 250, just slightly heavier, so that eases my pain. These bikes rule. The engines are so free and the chassis are so nimble, and the brakes are brilliant. Will do an oil change on it on Monday. Has the best tyres money can buy on it. Metzeler Rennsport RS1 on the front and Dunlop GPRA10 on the back both in excellent condition. We've got lots of bikes so was only going to and from work on it in the 3 weeks up till xmas.

Race results for the one day it did are here http://www.silver-bullet.co.nz/eventresults.php?eventid=5510
Name's Jason McCamish, won both streetstock races on it by miles, and came 7th equal for the day in Formula 3. The mc22 CBR250 taught me 90% of what I know about riding a motorcycle well.

$5,000 for the mechanically tightest CBR250RR I've ever ridden. Put fresh oil in the forks at the end of 07. Fresh brake fluid then too. Hardly ridden since. Oh yeah, brand new windscreen aswell. The other one was old yellow and decaying a little.

Will hold off trademeing for a week or two. Rather sell to a KB'er, cause I've got a lot to offer in terms of spares and knowledge about these wonderful machines. Ahead of their time.

Some additional stats:
0-100kph: 5.0 seconds
Quarter mile: 14.1 is the best I've managed but that was on my first mc22, have never dragged this one.
Pukekohe laptime: 1min 15.12 I did on my first ever race day at puke on my first mc22

And don't worry, 95% of the riding i've done on this bike has been commuting in Aucklands heavy traffic. So it's not been thrashed. Still they love it.

Mint bike. I love MC22's. Good luck with the sale!

Where did you get the windscreen from if you don't mind me asking?

Got it from a plastics place in Hamilton about a year or so ago... visual plastics I think? Got another name. Godiva.

Thanks a lot for the ride. I'm thinking seriously about buying it, I was really impressed by how it goes, very smooth motor...

Will get back to you ASAP.

Oh, and Bucklands Beach is a nice place to ride on a sunny day... Nice ...views.

Oh well, Samgab has decided that this bike is too beasty for him and has gone for a VTR250. Last chance. Sticking it on Trademe tomorrow.

Yes, I can vouch for this bike, it is very sweet. I was really impressed. If I could have two bikes, It would be this one and the one I bought. Wishful thinking, unfortunately.
Just wasn't right for the type of riding I do, but if you're in the market for a very fast 250cc, this is a very good example.
