Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't both Ghost Riders bikes SUZUKI'S .
A GSXR1000 & a BUSHA Turbo , Why do you think he choose them over the
others . Easy as they are the best bike for the JOB . Speed / handling &
reliblity . :yeah:

Ghost Rider is egotistical. On the Suzuki, everyone looks at HIM... If he had oh, say an R1 - everyone would be looking at the bike.

You know, this whole mine is better than yours is getting tedious. It's hard coming up with example after example of such witty and factual comebacks :spudwave:

That's why you get a bike that EVERYONE knows is better than thiers, such as my Virago.:yeah: :2thumbsup :done:

Well I would have thought that he chose the Hayabusa to turbo .. blatantly becos it is the "HAYABUSA" worlds fastest bla bla bla....

Its funny though, because ghostrider races a Hayabusa on his 1000 and whips its ass good. Theres is a fine line between big balls and no brains as we all know.

Im in a different boat than most ... My bike is humbling, Prefer to be lead when riding, and I'd prefer an 250 RGV over an R1. :whocares:

No Arron far from it .
Look Dude I have owned over 53 bike 90% of then modified . Not to sure how many you have owned . The only reason I brought the GSXR over the R1 is that the GSXR simply has a motor that no other bike has . RAW, NASTY , & out right ANGRY . 04 R1 handled better but motor was not right for me .
Not in power just feel !! My old 1100R had been Stage 3 kitted & was alot like my new 1000 for pure power & raw grunt . Even you would have freaked with what it could do . Was the Fastest bike in Taranki for some time .
Wining Trophys in 1/4 mile drags & Dyno shoot out's :done:

jus taking the piss dude.....i like the thou but same deal for me, the R1 suits me better(i was a fleas dick away from buying a gsxr)......my mate had a full on yoshi 1100, it was 159rwhp it was impresive, but he rode my R1 the day i got it and a week later he sold the 11 and bought an R1...but each to there own....btw i have owned a shit load of bikes(and some shit bikes) not 50+ tho

What, only 159rwhp? Pfft :shake:
But I KNOW what Sensei is talking about. The 03 Gixxer (and 04/05 I'm guessing) have very raw engines. And, their power is all there, all the time (like I said on my Buell / Gixxer write up after testride). Since I'm a newer rider, I like my R1 because if I keep it under 8K rpm, it's gentle and easy to ride.

(When I go over 8K rpm, please move out of my way Sensei) haha

{pt} If Suzuki sort their shit out, and make the 06, or 07 Gixxer look good, I may just get one??? Who knows. They are just too plain for me. (all '04 1000cc sport bikes are farking mad/fast, that being Yam, Suz, Kaw and Hon)

What was the one that had 5 guys going through europe on a Busa, R1, Blackbird, ZX10, ahhh crap cant remember the last bike. The Busa lasted till the end but the rest crapped out. Not sure if it was ghost rider one or some other one. All going hard out, doing stunts at every town they passed.

Ok > Stonechucker & Arron we shouldn't be taking the Piss out of each other but taking it out of all the people that don't own R1's / GSXR / ZX / CBR's These are the one's that don't know about real bikes . Oyea & it does take Fucken Skill to ride a 1000cc bike at 300k in a straight line .

When is the next 1/4 and flying event on?

I liked the way a number of bike mags compared the power of the new litre bikes.

R1 was like a Lamborghini, CBR like a Ferrari, ZX10 porsche, and the GSXR like a Dodge Viper.

All about the same HP but go about delivering it different ways.

I personally like raw grunt - Viper style.

I like the comparisons you've quoted. They remind me of a similar article in a UK mag a couple of years ago. It compared my bike, a Blackbird, to a Bentley Continental Turbo, in that it goes like shit, accelerates really fast, yet is built like a house on wheels (without the spa bath that is). I'd imagine the same applies to a Busa.

While my bike will get up to around the 300's it is not the best bike for handling tight corners. This is R1 and GXR country. But it does love long fast sweepers. As do I.

There’s an interesting thread running on UK forum at the moment. A guy with a Blackbird is adamant that his bike is faster than an R1 (in standard guise), in that it out accelerates it and because the Bird’s top speed is higher (UK spec bikes). But this is just crap for real world riding, because once you throw some twisty bits in the R1 is way faster than a Bird.

But the debate over the performance of bikes is somewhat irrelevant, in that it is the rider of the bike that makes it go fast, and I'm not all the proficient at really fast riding. I'm more of a high-speed cruiser.

Anyway, think you would all be better off on a Honda 600 .....

Biff. I agree, it's ALL about the rider. I feel like I'm sitting on a nuclear weapon, except I've got no plutonium in my helmet! I'm hoping in time (years), I'll get better, at that annoyingly slow, unnoticable pace, until I find I'm actually using the R1 to SOME of it's potential.

Ramius, yep I bought that DVD from Civic Video. It's doing the rounds amoug the Wgtn crew now. Some GREAT stuff. Good stuff on the extras aswell.

FunkFly, not sure about the next ORGANISED 1/4 miles. Someone will post the details in advance, so keep an eye peeled :yeah:

Shit you bite easy lol.

What colour leds have you put on your bike?, think thats the "in" thing to do for posers these days.

I don't have to bite, I know the awsome awsomeness of my bike is just, well, awsome! :shake: (pt)

I have got six BIGASS white lights at the front of my bike, they're pretty fly. And a big cluster of red led's on the tail of my bike, bright as! Two orange lights on either side of the front fairing.

Oh oh, you're gonna love this one, I have a white led that lights up my number plate! Man thats a cool "mod" I'm lucky I haven't been pulled over for it yet.

Lastly, I have a video game setup just above where I put my key in. It flashes pretty lights, and gives me numbers to read while I'm riding.

hehe he!
