Ok, so my brother really needs to get his own bike. The drum brakes at Kimmys on Thursday didn't do to well on some of those steep sections. As a result the old XL now has a bent sub frame. The rear wheel and seat no longer point in the same direction!

I've spotted these two on trademe. I would love to hear your opinions.

KLX250 1994 $2500 (http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/Motorbikes/Motorbikes/Dirt-bikes/auction-196227962.htm)

or

KLX300 1997 $2150 (http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/Motorbikes/Motorbikes/Dirt-bikes/auction-196659621.htm)

or

DRZ250 1993 $2500 (http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/Motorbikes/Motorbikes/Dirt-bikes/auction-185680475.htm)

I'm thinking the KLX300 1997 for $2150 looks like the best of the bunch.
He doesn't want to spend more than $2500. This will be his first proper bike, also he doesn't want a 2t.

Anyone in Auckland looking to sell soon?

Go with the KLX300. They are a far superior bike than what he has been riding and are very reliable. (We are going to get one soon as a hire bike)

You still have to ensure that its mechanically sound tho.
