Lightbulb Brother wants a Trail Bike

Ok, so my brother really needs to get his own bike. The drum brakes at Kimmys on Thursday didn't do to well on some of those steep sections. As a result the old XL now has a bent sub frame. The rear wheel and seat no longer point in the same direction!

I've spotted these two on trademe. I would love to hear your opinions.

    KLX250 1994 $2500

    or

    KLX300 1997 $2150

    or

    DRZ250 1993 $2500

I'm thinking the KLX300 1997 for $2150 looks like the best of the bunch.
He doesn't want to spend more than $2500. This will be his first proper bike, also he doesn't want a 2t.

Anyone in Auckland looking to sell soon?

Go with the KLX300. They are a far superior bike than what he has been riding and are very reliable. (We are going to get one soon as a hire bike)

You still have to ensure that its mechanically sound tho.
