Keith, just a thought that goes through my mind following events such as yours.
Is the "diesel" still out there just waiting for the next bike to come along!
Was anything actually done about that! John.

...thinking i've got to get up before someone runs me over only trouble was i was still moving when i tried to get up... boy did that hurt...
This is a reaction I've heard from a lot of people mid-crash... your adrenaline is pumping and everything seems to be going in slow motion so you think you've stopped - when actually you're still sliding! A lesson for others in this situation. Remember to make sure you've really stopped before you stand up!
Sorry to hear about your crash and I hope you heal up well.

Thank God you are OK Keith,
Your Steel horse has served you well,
Gave you lots of smiles over many miles,
With respect we see her go,
And we are thankfull that you will still show
That humor we all know so well,
So thankfull we did not loose our big friend,
Get well and we will see you on a new steed soon,
Cathy give our mate lots of big hugs from us all,
work your nursing magic and make Keith well,
We all want to see you at the next camp fire,

The things you miss out on when you don't go on KB for a few weeks. Thanks for the call Shrek and the Princess and I are very glad to hear you're OK. As has been said throughout this thread bikes can be fixed or replaced, we are a bit different and even though sometimes we can be fixed we often carry the wounds for life.
It does open up the exciting new world of buying a replacement bike and gear though - so thats not all bad eh - and that machine you totalled has been a bit of a dog in the time you've had it so a fresh start might not be a bad thing
As for this other discussion - depends what kind of parties you like to go to. :innocent:
The leather and chain parties can last for a very long time you know - especially if you have some handy devices keeping you constantly slippery.
On the other hand those shaft parties..... well, if you're doing it properly you have to get stripped off regularly and get your splines greased, more regularly if you like the rough stuff - and we know how much you like that aye big boy!!
