Hey um stupid question, but was there a law change this year or not inloving the learner licencing ??... 250cc up to 660cc and able to ride at 100km?.. or did they scrape that too!??....

No. I know what you are talking about but it hasn't happened. The last government proposed it, but it didn't make it into law before the election. And with a change of government, all the "not completed" stuff expires. Whether the new government will take it up again remains to be seen.
Situation unchanged. Learner (and restricted) limited to 250cc. Learner limited to 70kph. Enjoy.

damn it .... ive had my learners for the last 11 years!!!!!.... no shit (wonder if i broke a record?) and they wont let me skip the restricted part.... and i have been riding bigger bikes in the past...
so i was hopen that i didnt have to pay anymore (scottish blood)...

far from a record...my learner m/c licence was issued on the 2nd of september 1987, and i aint upgraded!
so I will see your ante and DOUBLE IT!

Yeah - Bren beats both of us. I only had my learners for 17 years before I upgraded to a restricted last year.
