Hi all,
Last sat I had my last exam for summer school (uni) and after doing a bit of bike tuning, I went for a 'short' ride to see how it feels. My short rides usually means heading from Longbay to Kaukapakapa, Helensville and back along the north-western 16 cutting thru coatesville/riverhead. But this time round when I got to Kaukapakapa I decided to turn right towards Wellsford.
Maybe it was the late afternoon weather which was a beaut!! But it was picture perfect and I just couldn't stop riding. I headed up towards wellsford but decided to turn right to Warkworth just to try and get back b4 dark as I had my tinted visor on. It was filled with real nice twisties!!! :niceone:
But that was interrupted with a 3k stretch of unsealed road, which was quite frustrating for a roadbike!!! Anyways, after that stretch, there was another 4-5ks of really tight corners which was waaaaay coooool!!!! :2thumbsup
Had the ride of my life and brought the bike lower than I ever had so far! I've driven up to wellsford that way b4 but never on a bike or thru to Wrakworth either. Anyone been up that way recently?
Having only decided to start riding again since immigrating here 6 yrs ago this is one AWESOME riding country! And I've heard that the South Island is pretty awesome too!!
