I took the misus for a cruise out to makra last night, headed from j'ville to the coast, Woah  ! i hadnt been out there in a while and had never ridden it so had a bit of fun on some REALLY tight corners, tightening all over the show  !

on the way a total of three rabbits and a small possum ran in front of me :shit: , and all tried to outrun me for some strange reason, well i rode beside one bunny for a while (doin a whopping 35-40kms!!) tried to give it a bit of a help along with ma boot but proptly got a slap from behind followed by cries not to hurt it........... after it jumped out in front of us mid corner........ anyways, the craziest one was this possum running flat tach up the road..... i dont think theyr designd to do that.
Came back up the Karori way, im impressed with how much theyve improved that road! had a ball up the hill, confidence increasing with each flick...... .. till i reached the point where somethings scraping on the road....:Punk: well i saw a flash of sparks and felt something, didnt feel right for the peg tho.....
so i get to a servo in karori and check ma shite, and what do i see. a nice big shiny patch on my black 2-1 pipe  one patch is nearly through the pipe!!! soooo
any suggestions??
- just try not to do it again, hang my toes out and slide on the boots?

-ignore it till it wears right through and weld it up then? and again wen i wear that off................

-find someone in welly who will move/alter the pipe so i can use my bike to its full potential? (who?)

1st suggestion - if you carry passager adjust the rear shock , for two up
if you done this and still have problems
2nd suggestion - you and misses go on a diet.

Me and my wife(gf at at time) use to two up on my zzr250 alot and never had the same problem and this is going up the kamais, and lakes around rotovegas. i was about 60kgs, gf was about little more than that.

And that was also with a 130 rear tire instead of standard 140,

Get that knee down there (or your pillions..... ) Sounds like the pipe may be in an incorrect postion as i would expect the peg to hit first if not your knee!

I'm sure soemone here will have a better idea of your particular machine :niceone:

-i ride 2up most days and havn't had a problem before, its adjusted to 1 off the hardest, ma lady fits a 6 so no use tellin her to go on a diet!!! im round 70kg so theres no wieght issues.....

thinking it has alot to do with the angles of the road (steep uphill right) but im of the mind that my peg should be gettin down first....

cant get ma knee right down either cos ive got cordura pants without knee sliders............ :brick:

the kamais is corners uphill

Problem with two up on a small bike up hill more weight on the rear, so you might get pipes down before pegs, espically with an aftermarket 2-1 pipe, might go lower than factory. I had my zzr250 for 3 years, did well over 50,000kms on it in that time,
