I just noticed yesterday that the 80k zone has been lifted where they were doing the Onewa Road bridge roadworks. That 80kph zone had been there for at least a couple of years and I have to admit I was a bit sceptical about whether it was ever going to be lifted. So hooray! :Punk:
Northbound, you can now do 100kph from outside the police highway patrol building just north of the bridge. (It used to be 80kph all the way to Northcote Rd.)
Southbound, I think the 100kph zone now extends to the Onewa Rd offramp or maybe even a little further - can anyone verify this?
So far the traffic seems to be moving smoothly, although I think that's likely to be because of the flow-on effects of that wonderful new Northern Gateway! :blink:
