I notice my Escort8500 gives out different tunes to Ka warning. Most of the time it gives out ascending-note tune, and sometimes it gives out descending note tune.

Is it just me, is it randomness or are they supposed to mean different things?
:spudwhat:

Damn I wish it has arrows like V2.

Noticed the same thing on mine but very seldom

It normally chirps on KA. Sometimes it chirps a diff tune- perhaps different KA frequency?:spudwhat:

It's not what I was talking about.
I've disabled X and K as well so they are non-issue.

With Ka, it's something like *plip-plap* most of the time and *plap-plip* occassionally.
Is it a way of telling me "radar in front"/"radar in rear" or is it just randomness?

I've bought mine from a friend (legally, not stolen) and I haven't got the manual....

P.S.
no, it's not X50 model.
