Couldnt find any so came back to Titihi Bay. Weather is quite nice now.
However I did find a new rear tyre for a very very reasonable price at motorad. They have some deals in there at the moment. Good guy to deal with too.

Thought I might as the rain came down on the east side. Had a clear run over the track and mangamorie and then it got a bit rough down to featherston. There is a heap of road works at the north end of the rimutakas so a stop go man there held all the traffic up so jumping to the start of the queue gave me a clear run for half of the rimutakas. Caught traffic at oppourtune moments to get past easy. Little damp and patchy but mint run over.
