Hi,
I am posting this as i had my motorbike stolen on Monday 28/02/05 from the inner city Auckland.
I am trying to alert as many people as possible as the thief may be out there riding around on the bike, and unlike cars, people notice bikes.
I know this may be a long shot but i figure i have a better chance of getting my bike back if i make more people aware and don't just wait for it to turn up, the Police have enough on their plate without having to spend their time on than actively looking for stolen vehicles and while i understand that it doesn't mean I'm going to sit back and wait while someone else enjoys or profits from my loss. Someone out there will know this person so please forward this on.
The bike is a 1991 Suzuki GSX250F Across model with registration 65UNW. The bike is black with a partial streak of purple on each side. The bike has a full body on it and does not show engine on any external part (also you may notice the ignition is smashed).
I would appreciate it if you could forward this email on to anyone else you know in the Auckland area in the hope that someone recognises my bike.
I can be contacted on 021993180 or the email address below. Or alternatively the Police can be notified direct.
I am willing to offer a reward of $200 for any information that leads to the recollection of my bike.
Thankyou for your time.

thats real shit dude..
You got my eyes pealed. And I'm on a bigger bike. Any instructions if one was to 'run into' these scum of society?
One thing I'm always paranoid about, is getting the wrong dude, or, I see the bike, lay into the guy who's riding, to find out it's the Doc yourself! In which case, I appologise in advance..

Thanks Guys,
Any effort at is much appreciated. As for what to do with the guy if you find him.....Let your body do the talking.
As a mate of mine said "Motorbike thieves have their own special place in hell" :ar15:
Unfortunately i dont think he was a joyrider so i have notified as many bike shops and dismantlers as possible just incase.
Thanks again for any help.

One thing you have got to watch though.. a friend of mine had a cage stolen. The insurance was about to pay him off when he saw it driving down the road. He pulled the guy over and was going to deal with him, but the guy showed him the purchase papers etc. The cage had been recovered by the police and sold by the insurance company. Although my mate hadn't actually got the money it had been processed etc. so they stuck it in an auction and didn't tell him about it.

Where was it last seen?
Sorry, but why would anyone want to steal a GSX250? must be kids, joy riding and then dumping somewhere, was it insured?

Ok firstly it was stolen from the enclosed carpark under the building of my work on Nelson St in the city. Secondly someone had previously nicked another guys helmet and gloves and my WOF(?) off our bikes a couple of weeks ago............This guy had obviously been scoping it out for awhile so it was no joy ride he obviously had a purpose for it which is another reason im so pissed....Id prefer it was a joyrider at least there would be more hope of getting it back.......And here is a pic of one like it, except mine has a small panel of purple in the knee area....If it uploads....

Sorry to hear about your bike, that's a real shame.
Does sound like he (they) were pretty systematic about the whole thing... to the point of taking your WOF tag. That raises a question though... why take the tag if you intend to take the whole bike shortly thereafter?
I suspect it's some prick a-hole who was nicking gear for the sake of it, didn't get caught so like most crims when the buzz wears off they aspire to greater things, in this case taking the whole bike. :angry2:
I mean no disrespect to your bike, but it would be satisfying seeing him wrapped around a telephone pole, or the grill of a big rig for his troubles.
Hope you get it back soon, and in one piece.
Aaron.

:yeah: :yeah: UPDATE :yeah: :yeah:
At 3am this morning the Henderson Police called me and told me they had apprehended my bike thief.
The thief was caught after they were seen racing someone on another bike through the streets of west Auckland. The Police persued and a chase was created. The thief attempted to escape but while taking a roundabout to fast slid out and crashed.
The Thief was found to be a female in her late teens to early twenties and she admitted to stealing the bike from a carpark on Nelson St.
The bike recieved minimal damage (thank god) such as a broken foot peg, gravel rash all up one side and broken ignition (from the theft).
I would just like to thank everyone who has been on the lookout and/or wished me well with finding my bike. Its amazing how when you really need help people out there are willing to make an effort.
So please if you see the bike described dont try and run it off the road or call the police as i will have it back :)
Again thankyou and please let anyone know who ou may have passed it on to.
Finally a story with a happy ending. :done:

so lets have the name of the thief....how did she come to be in the undergound carpark? is it secure? if it is, she may have committed a burglary. does she work in the same building? make sure you get a quote for repairs asap (like TODAY), so reparation can be ordered in court.

That's great news about your bike :2thumbsup That's one 3am phone call you wouldn't mind getting.
The thief attempted to escape but while taking a roundabout to fast slid out and crashed.
Where have I seen this before...?
Was she wearing the other items stolen from the parking area?
Dr_seuss25
4th March 2005, 13:45
Not sure if she was wearing them .......
Just been and seen the bike.....The cops said it was ok to ride to a mechanic.......Boy were they wrong.
Ignition is a bolt forced into it to turn it on and off, Rear brake pedal is snapped off, left peg is gone, front brake is ripped out. Decals have been peeled off and sanded so they arent recognisable. Handlebars are slightly twisted. Its leaking oil.....
But apart from that not too much other damage....... :finger:
