10th March 2009, 19:41
I will be there, no doubt Saturday and Sunday. Got a few things to try as well as a mate that is keen to cheek out the track on Saturday.

And then racing Sunday:devil2:

Hmmm, looking at the weather maps I would say about a 25% chance of rain. I would rather it rains versus the heat we had last time:sunny:

Hey guys are the standard plastic bar ends you see on some bars good enough? They aren't open bars but there is a small plastic cap if you know what I mean

Fuck yeah! Wet meeting will be interesting :sweatdrop-No! My front tire is practically a slick! I don't need any more badges on my leathers!

DELLORTO
10th March 2009, 20:23
looking forward to it!!! to be honset i dont think its going to rain.....saturady is just suposed to be cloudly and sunday is showers.....and it suposed to be windy that means it will blow the rain off the track and dry the track if it does rain...

remember auckland is the hardest place in new zealand to forecast for...most of the time their just guessing......

I'd say you'll want to replace them with mushrooms/plastic champagne corks - that cap will grind away in no time!

wbks
10th March 2009, 20:28
I'll do it tomorrow then. The corks seem pretty light duty as well. Do you leave the plastic cap on the plastic cork on? Seems like it would stop grinding away so fast but it could fall off onto the track as well

Bring on the rain, I've got my wets sorted........ And a gazebo to keep comforable between puddle hopping.

Oh yeah, Pumba, I'm bringing the cute little neighbor..... I just got her pocket bike sorted tonight so she'll be ripping it up.

Hey Dellorto, didn't you have a ride in the buckets last meet?

strange whenever his boys (Karl Garry etc) ride the 2 strokes they complain that they dont have any engine braking :shifty:

the way around that is not to shut the throttle off :blink::shit:
then no engine braking

Sorry I dont, however I wouldnt not race if you cant find it. We all know John doesnt scuritineer (apart from the 2 hour) and expects each of the competitors to accept a certian level of self responsibility.

I have raced without one, it is your chocie, but I know what I would be doing.

Was a good day had by all, the usual cheeky comments going around, and as usual the lad on the silver fxr 150 did what he does best...crash  But he pushes really hard so heaps of respect to him, i always forget his name, buggered if i know why...ya all know who i mean lol...

Was nice to see the fxr with the gsxr srad tail had the junk taken out of its trunk and a shiny new lick of paint.

And blimin heck tim flies!!! Some vast improvements being seen and was great to see Max (DELLORTO) giving it his all and getting a hang of his new steed, really need to hurry up and get me a bucket i does!!! :weep:

Hopefully have one sorted by the next meet, see how i go financially etc etc.

If anybody has a bucket they upgraded from and left to bleed away in the corner do let me know, don't need to be stupidly competitive just yet, i can always upgrade...

Let me know what ya got eh fellas!!! not fussed if it needs work, but an engine in her without issues (apart from carb tuning) would be preferred...

Anyways throw me a PM if ya got anything.

Peace: Skid.:2thumbsup

Yeah I know, it was a lame, front side let go in the wet on slicks with no other bikes or walls involved..........

Sometimes getting old really sucks............ It's no wonder I was feeling a bit crappy last weekend:wacko:

I'll still be riding next meet. If you remember correctly I did about 100 more laps after I crashedthat weekend......:scooter:

You are supposed to hand ya race license to MNZ and then get doctors clearance prior to riding again, i fear for your health in that another light slide may shove the fractured ribs back/fully break... then you puncture organs... we all know what happens then...

Best to miss a couple of meets than die... upto you though.

Heal up.
