I'll give it a go this season. It'll be my first season, so I'll probably have to wear a fluro jacket for a while. I'll be riding my CBR250.

A fluro jacket at the front did you say ;)>

I'm hoping to be there. Though I still have to find a motor for my KR.
Been so long since the KR's been on the track.... I might need to book in one of those fluro jackets as well!

Just wondering after the purchase of the bike what does it cost to get the suspension set-up for your weight? Front fork internals etc.

How many have wet weather tyres and a spare set of rims? I would imagine these would be compulsory for Vic Club winter races.

Umm, streetstock dude. Bikes have to be "stock standard" and no wets allowed for Vic Club Streetstockers. That's why I love streetstock, you're racing against the rider, not the bike!
I am currently undecided about my race season this year. With 2 poked RG's between Malcolm and myself it might just be best one of us race (read Malcolm) and that we have a spare bike. That is if we can get and KEEP one of them going, *sigh*.

Supplementary regs will be up within two weeks on the Vic Club site ... check there ... current ones up are for last season, but use those as a guide.

Bout 20 South Island youngsters will come up to the Sept meeting. When will the Norherners come south to one of our meetings? Too chicken perhaps.... Unlike up there, it doesn't rain at our meetings....
I'm curious to see if Vic club adopts MNZ rules. Also keen to see if they encourage new riders, particulary young ones via training sessions, coaching and separate points for the teenagers vs the oldies. That's the backbone of our apparent success down here in Streetstock.

Don't forget "winter series" isn't exclusively the Vic series. There's a heap of good winter racing in the South, including the SportzFotoz Cup.

I think by Winter Series he meant VMCC Actrix Winter Series 2009, he just wasn't specific in his thread title.

Assuming nothing goes wrong in finally getting the RG together and running, I will be there this year for the first time.
