The lower lid of my left eye has been sporadically twitching for the last 4 days, starting to get a bit annoying. Anyone know what causes this twitching and how I may be able to make it stop (short of holding my finger on it)?? Thanks!:)

Do you drink alot of coffee? or, any other beverages with caffeine in it? This is a common symptom. Nothing to worry about. :doctor:

But I do get this same twitching issue when I have had a few late nights in a row.
Go to bed for a good sleeep and the extra hour tonight should sort you out!

Yep, crack withdrawl can do that to ya Trudes!
But seriously, I get it often and its been happeing for years. I have no idea what it is or what causes it. It comes on when I am tired or run down and sometimes when I feel a bit stressed. I found no cure but holding my finger on it either. Tell ya what, you go see the doc and tell me what they said... ;)

Usually 2 cups a day, so not excessive amounts.
getting enough sleep?
Yep :)
Just got off the phone with Nasty and we've narrowed it down to eye strain/fatigue:yawn: from the excessive amount of reading I've had to do in the last few weeks... and I've been forgetting to wear my reading glasses :spanking:
So will try to remember to wear my glasses when reading and see if it helps. In the meantime I look like more of a spaz than I normally do with my twitchy eye:crazy:
Thanks for the responses though peeps!:) I'll be back if the glasses don't solve the issue tho!

Bbbbbilly wwwwas mmmmy favourite character on One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest. Tired eyes Trudes, couple of days of glasses and good sleep should sort it. If it doesn't, go get it checked. Shit that is annoying though. Get Kendog to hold it for you

Could be an enzyme deficiency - solved by taking an enzyme called Q10
Are you holding a good poker hand?

Your not being forced to spend time with my brother by any chance?
A couple days with that fucker and I get a facial tick.
Then as soon as he notices it he gives me shit about it.
Fun times for everybody.
Stress kills......One day the stress will fuck me an I'll kill some fucker. That's no twitch that's the evil eye.
Bearing in mind I've been sitting in the dark for hours drinking vodka........

ohh Trudes my Mum had that for quite sometime .. kinda appeared out of nowhere .. not sure if there is an actual medical thingy attached to it but when she kinda tracked things she realised she was highly stressed but didnt realise it. Not saying thats why yours is twitching LOL but for Mum she was boiling inside, certainly not happy thoughts .. so it manifested as the twitch ... I call her Popeye now hahahahaha ...

Its stress I tell ya.
If you can identify the source you will be sweet.
Though the more you think about it the more it will be there, One day you will just notice it hasn't done it for a while, then it will probably crank up again.

I have no idea what that means.
And in other news, are you going to post a picture of your Hornet in the Favourite picture thread?

Could well be low on magnesium. If it doesn't go away on it's own try a supplement.

You guys crack me up, get a perm indeed!
Anyway thanks for all the ideas, I'll give it a few more days, wear my reading glasses etc, then look at taking some suppliments if it's still there. It could be stress, but I've been more pumped up on stress before and my eye hasn't done this before, but there could be some underlying need to smack someone that's doing it ;)

Get your Neck checked out, ie chiropractor or soemthing.
Used to happen to me Aunty she got her neck soughted then it went away for a few days, eventually she had a operation to relieve pressure on a nerve in the back of her neck and it was fixed permanently
