Haha, but I have already! since the bike got stolen in December, My garden has never looked better! I've also re-painted the bathroom, built a new fence, and started groundworks for a new below floor water heater!

I hired a 250 Rebel from these guy's http://www.motorcycle-hire.co.nz/index.html last time I was in Auckland. Not my usual sort of bike but a hell of a lot of fun for a couple days, and legal on my current licence.
I think they also have a vtr 250, but it was in chch at the time.
You could always go and test ride a lot of 250's at various bike shops.

Okay, Much Bling to RM for loaning me his bike for the day!
Feel pretty knackered, shows you how unfit I've become taking my car everywhere!
I went down to Kaiaua for some lunch, then back home again :)
Cheers dude, made my weekend!

I say the RM is a cool dude for loaning you his bike. Clearly, he views 'things' as just things which have no value unless being used for their purpose. As opposed to those who have personal relationships with 'things' and won't let another touch them.
Folk who embue animals with human/spiritual traits are described as anthropomorphic. I wonder if there is a similar one-word description for those who get utterly anal about their 'things'?
I know a couple of guys who would happily allow me to sleep with their wives before they'd let me even touch their bikes.
Mind you, one look at the wives and you'd have to wonder.
I'm with RM on this one. Any 'thing' I have, which I'm not needing to use during a specific period is up for grabs for any civilised person to use.
List of things, include. Yami 600. Van. MX5. Trailer. Sundry power tools and, sad to say, an unopened packet of condoms.
And so, Winter, after you get your full, and prior to making the big spend, PM me and arrange a time to take the Yami for a few days.
As various doughty sorts have managed to mention on this site, she has a few scratches, so you don't need to worry about adding a few more, and the crash-bungs still have at least three full down-sides before being completely munted.
And she's got Hot-Grips!!
But the ride up, today, from National Park, on the all-new Dunlops, was just another rare pleasure. Damned fine bike.

Very sensible words there, and don't worry - I will take you up on that offer! Perhaps I can buy you a pre-emptive beer? Me and Raj and some others are going down to Sale St for a beer tonight, 7.30ish. Come down if your not doing anything. I'm the guy with ridiciously good looking hair!

Thanks, but no.
Good to see you'll take up the offer.
My Programme:- Took bike in van down to the National Park on Friday. Left van at a friend's place today. Rode home. Yum. Nice ride. Will be riding down on Friday, this week. Staying till 29th, then load bike into van and head home. Bike will be free for use after that.
I neither need nor want any quid pro quo. As I say, the bike is useless unless being used. And if I'm not using it, you may as well.
