I've been trying to figures out a nice quick way of easily identifying which sportsbike is which.
Back in the day it seemed pretty easy but I'm completely clueless now.
After this arvos ride down SH22 to Waingaro and Huntly which saw a few sportbikes coming at me I have decided to go with:
Colour
Thus far its breaking down like this:
Blue/White/Red stripes = fighting chance that its a Suzuki
Red/Orange = often Honda or Ducati (Ducs are usually more violent red)
Yellow = some Ducs and a disturbing number of Triumphs
Lime green = always always a Kawasaki
I have no clue what colours Yamahas are, in fact I'm not sure I've even seen one over the last 6 months, so for the purposes of identification Yamahas fall into the "other" category along with various other niche brands
I now feel confident that I can come close enough to ID'ing a bike to start a conversation (or at least hang around the edges nodding sagely)
