This Saturday
Assemble Bayfair Shopping Mall Carpark corner of Girven and Maunganui Roads 10.00am onwards. Run departs for Tauranga 12.00 noon.

This is a parade run of motorcyclists who donate Easter Eggs to children patients in the Bay of Plenty who are hospitalised during Easter. This is a badge run, lucky prize draw and sausage sizzle at the conclusion of the run.

Who is going?

One of the better rides I've been on :2thumbsup
Arround 4-600 bikes no official count, only one draw for a helmet, went to a guy from Turangi.
Took my youngest on the back this time and she had a ball, is looking forward to the next run.

Great weather and the ride was at a decent pace, suppose that riding through town the speed couldn't be to great but flowed well with only one stop by the racecourse after an open road streach.
Some pix below....Wish you were here :yeah:

My daughter was the photographer and snapped 190 shots. Not bad for a 10 year old she did well, got some good shots.

Do good intentions count? I was going to Tauranga anyway to see my brother on his floating gin palace in the Mt Maunganui marina early afternoon, so thought I'd do the Easter Egg run first. Got away from Auckland more or less on time and decided to take a more interesting route - Whangamata and Waihi. Result was I didn't get to Tauranga until after 12:00. Thinking I was too late to do the run, I went straight to the hospital, but of course nobody was there. Waited around until about 10 to 1, still no bikes. So went off to see my bro.
Had a great day's ride anyway. Brilliant weather and very light traffic.
And no tickets!
