I was out with my little 3 wheeler this morn and tagged it too, I was gonna say "It's so easy even a baby could do it!"
Baby Bee was outta control after she'd chugged a double Red Bull (seeing how they sponsor KTM) she wanted to pull wheelies and do the half pipe at the skate park!

klxmerida
12th October 2009, 16:14
A few more pictures. On the road it will cruise at 110kph happily, passing I need to be accelerating out of a corner or changing speed zones ie 70-100kph. Or get a decent run up. Twisties are good fun such an easy bike to throw around. Off road, tires are a big let down, back is very close to bald down the center strip. Gets up any fire breaks I want it to in Sharlands and Mungatapu easily.

Back on topic.........
Went for a cruise to find the tag but all the bloody houses look the same up Panorama Drive, Highview Drive and Tasman Heights. To cut a long story short, I couldn't tag the bugger exactly, because the views all seem similar.
I did find a nice short dirt track dropping down to Marsden valley and another dropping down from Princes Drive to Washington Valley. Better not make a habit of doing those ones tho! :devil2:
klxmerida

As I said, this one is a little further afield, so riders who restrict themselves to the city limits need not apply.:2thumbsup:
Probably best to do this on the weekend as there is limited access during the week.
Yes, that's Tapawera and Mt Arthur in the background, so this was taken somewhere higher around that area.
The closest similar picture, not neccessarily the exact spot, will win.

Just found this game, great idea, I don't get out on the bike much but am keen to join in, only problem I don't have a clue where most of the tags are so thought someone should start a google map like the other games so we can track where we've been. Also gives me and excuse to get out on the bike to check out old tags if I don't know where the new one is.
I'm keen to help set up the map if needed just need to know where they all were / are.

Yes it was green. it had a black seat and mirror though so only got lost at night and it was neither stolen or misplaced (atleast then theres a chance of getting it back) I got hit by a cage driver (aka car) The damage to the car first... a broken indicator lens (drivers side) The damage to the bike... bent front disk, bent brake lever, dents in the fuel tank, alll of which is no biggie and being a trail bike it rock solid so no problems on falling over but upon impact instead of the forks bending like conventional ones would the USD's are so rock solid that the force of the impact was transfered to the frame, just back from the headtube, infront of the fuel tank. Making it a write off needing nearly $5000 of repairs on a $3000 bike. Half of which was for a new frame.

What's the matter with your guys, ya all gripe WW is taking too long to post, then when he does, ya go to sleep!
Had a mission this morn to pick up some 2-stroke oil from Supercheap in St. Oke (uuugghh, shudder, the 'burbs) so fired up my little red Bambino, visited the shop, then cruised out to the tag site (at full 49cc power I might add), via the scenic route.
I chose to go in disguise so no-one might recognise me on the scoot, but hey, my shame has no limits, so who really cares. Besides, this scoot is a weapon, will top out at nearly 80kmph after I removed the restrictor in the pipe. Not a bad little ADV machine either, might fit some mini knobblies to it and do the Rainbow next summer for a laugh.
Tagged the spot, then set about finding something a bit more challenging for little Bambino.......

Gravel, dirt, mud, water courses, must find fun....
These voices in my head are driving me crazy, but what am I to do, I've got me leg slung over Bambino, and the tar seal is not doing it for me..........
With Bambino on autopilot, we veer off Marsden Valley road and take to the skyline, seeking new heights of scootering freedom and adventure. It leaps over the muddy ruts and rocks with ease, even with my best all purpose tyre fitted especially for the trip, bah, who needs them fancy Michelin or Pirelli knobblies.
Before I know it, we'd knocked the bastard off, cresting the summit on Panorama Drive and back onto the mediocrity of paved road once again.
Me thinks the hooded avenger and Bambino are going to have a few more adventures over the winter
Go on, do it, if scoot can, you can too. :Punk: No prizes for difficulty, someone please just go get it.
New tag is pic 015.

oooo cool, my intro to the world of two wheels was a Hyosung Rallye SF50 with knobs, only 70km/h when derestricted though :(
Would you be worried about chassis flex off road?
Chassis flex! Bro, it's a Suzuki, not a Hyobag! Handles good too, but could do with some Ohlins on the back.
Willdat?

Poor old Hyobag... so what actually is it? It doesn't look like an SJ50 to me!
CrazyFrog
3rd May 2010, 16:34
It's a Suzuki AY50, air cooled with a whopping 2kw of available power at your throttle hand, but they do a AY50 watercooled as well, which are gruntier again.
There are a couple of these in Nelson, but generally not too common in NZ, as the SJ's were about $1500 cheaper.

No f...kin way man, this scoot will never die, cos it don't have a 3rd gear!:2guns: .
Don't make this a Mod's Vs Rockers debate.
Location is up near end of Marsden Valley beside entrance to Barnicoat Hill walkway. MTB'ers will know it well.

Hell no.... I'm havin toooo much fun on it, it really is a great bike, just needs a bigger tank and a few more ponies, although the guy on the duc I hurtled past on Q.C. drive prolly wouldn't think so, outbraked him at the end of linkwater straight and flew round the 45 bend with my knee down, didn't see him again till canvastown where he went past.

Came in from the top of Whangamoas, got geographicaly challenged a couple of times trying to find my way to the Maitai, but I didn't mind.
I did come up to casa Pamei but didn't stop long enough to see if anyone was home, Gonzo's looking quite stylie now btw

Can't find Boiler Gully, talked to 4WDer mate and he doesn't know either. I'll just have to wait until the next tag comes along to show off my new toy.
If anyone sees a GN250 stator cover let me know as I've found yet another variation between the DR250 and GN250 engines...
