I've seen some stylish (yes really) winter or touring textile jackets which I would like to inspect before purchase.

The models are Tourmaster Rincon, and Revit Strada.

Revit Textile Jackets: http://motoretail.co.nz/productlist.cfm?Group=7

I have the Expedition Jacket, revit is very nice gear I reckon, don't know how it stands up to crashing tho (trying to avoid that for a while )

Wgton Motorcycles do stock Revit clothing as I have purchased some items from them, I'd be surprised if one of the dealers down S.I didn't stock it though...

Love my Rev'IT Factor codura pants. Not a mark on them from when I ate car and road 18 months ago. Probably because it was wet tho. Never leaked either.

Got Rev'IT 2pc leathers and gloves as well.

Thinking about replacing my Spool jacket with a Rev'IT jacket.

Guess you could say I like their gear :sweatdrop

mladinimports (http://www.mladinimports.com/manufacturers/tourmaster/) claims that they are the importer to Australia and NZ and have a quite a number of NZ dealors listed on their locator might pay to start there

Yeah I thought that might be the case but was hoping there might have been a NZ distributor but alas I think you're probably on the money. You'd be meaning bikegearwarehouse which is owned by M Mladin?

They look like they are the only distibutors, but there are a large number of dealers in NZ that you can go look at and try on the products if you click on the name in my previous post

Wellington Motorcycles have some RevIT
Boyds in Hamilton have alot of gear, including RevIT (as of last summer).

Can't say I have seen Tourmaster here or in Sydney.

The Importer is a guy called Tony Chase (good guy, he's ridden across more continents than Ghengis Khan). You can buy Rev-it at Motomail in Auckland. They can order pretty much anything.

I recommend their lightweight summer gloves as being an excellent race glove.

HDC - I've been getting sponsored Rev-it gear for the last (almost) 6 years for use in the mag. Happy to endorse it. I have a pair of leather jeans that are about that old and the linings are still intact - with my farts! Crashed in them a few times too.

Thanks for the responses. I haven't actually bought a new jacket yet either. I did buy a secondhand Belstaff but its casual wear only. Its "vintage" dontchaknow.

Kind of had my heart set on a new Belstaff Trialmaster but in the XL500 nylon (wax cotton has a LOT of drawbacks). But Belstaff is MAJORLY expensive.

I have an RJays cordura which I dont like that much so wanted to try on first. the Tourmaster stuff gets good reviews out of the US but so does the RevIt. Will be in Melbourne next month, so will check out Peter Stevens etc. Its no cheaper over there, but the range is better. esp in small sizes (I wear a 40 inch jacket)

I still have an original Trailmaster from the 80's in the gear room. Those weren't the days.

I believe the rev'it australia set up is quite new, so Motomail is probably a better bet for rev'it gear

Sell it on ebay.co.uk, or at least check the prices. wax cotton smells really bad, is only vaguely waterproof (in the same way a paper bag isn't) doesnt breathe when wet, is unarmoured, and leaves stains everywhere. Oh and it smells REALLY bad.
