Training Day With Chris Birch

Well I thought I'd better give myself as much of a chance as possible to get around the course at the City Scramble, so I decided to do one of Chris' Training days and boy was I impressed with what I learnt. We started off with the basics and then went for a ride to practice those, and then did a few obstacles similiar to what will be found on the course.

All I can say is anyone wanting to vastly improve their bike skills needs to do some coaching with him. From basic just going round, practicing, getting faster in the turns to as advanced as you want.

Yep great place I even managed to face plant into a tree in the trail ride/obstacle course area.

Have just done a 2 hour training session with Chris with me on my R1200GS. I can finally blast down gravel roads with ease. Highly recommended

I'm really struggling to find a venue that is not a muddy bog at the moment. To be totally honest I have been a bit distracted of late but I'll get onto it and sort something out!

Sweet :D There's probably enough of us we could just do a KB one, girls or mixed...Then all embarrassing moments are between friends at least :bleh: Anyway, what's worse than having people watch you do mistakes is when noone sees you do something cool!

Sounds like a plan stan. I'll just need plenty of warning of when as I'm gonna be a solo parent for a while so will need to suss out a place for the kids for the day

Yeah and your back up parent will be out with you!! I am really keen. I need to learn more and then I can stop doing stupid things and crashing. Totally agree that it sucks when you do something amazing and no one to see!

I did look at it bout at this stage its the wknd that John heads away for pre deployment training - his date aint set in concrete yet though

Darn - I so would have been in but decided that I need some sun and will be in Bali. Would be keen still though if you do another one after that....just will need to get the numbers and date. Please put me down for one though - I hope you are patient - I am a challenge!:laugh:
