Ok I am happy with the look ( sort off) The battery box area might change I know the areas that need to be modded such as the trail ,, So now I construct a database of the parts and figure out how and by whom they are to be made and the cost ! Stephen

Thursday night we cruised around to Brent's place again and did a little bit more. We pretty much just finished off opening the engine up and figuring out what was broken. After flipping the engine upside down we got the sump off and found nothing surprising. The gears in the gearbox were all perfect with no wear of the surface hardening. We couldn't find any sort of residues or bits of things floating around and everything looked like it's an engine that hasn't done all that many ...
We finally had a clear day where neither myself nor Brent had anything except working on bikes lined up. So I dropped the wife in town and headed out. Got there to find him mowing the lawns. We decided we'd head in to Big Bikes to see the mechanic, Neil, as he knows everything there is to know about working on Triumph's, Ducati's, Aprillia's etc, including race prepping and modifying them. Brent reckoned if there was anyone who'd know if there were any problems with the TT600 to watch ...
So, it's been a while since I was on a bike regularly (like a year) so it was time to get the finger out and find myself another bike (my last one was stolen by scum). I'd been watching trademe for quite a while and this bike had come up about 3 months ago. I seriously considered it then but it sold to someone else. About 3 weeks ago it suddenly reappeared on trademe, this time as a non-runner because it'd dropped a valve and destroyed the right outside cylinder. I thought even more ...
Well last week a guy at work mentioned he wanted an 'as new' original tail section to replace the tail tidy on his GSF1250... It just happened that I was looking for a tail tidy for my GSF650. Long story short we paired the bikes up in the work garage at lunch time, with rulers and sharp eyes we measured and compared the bikes. A as fate would have it there are no physical components that are different including the frame and sub structure that would have ...
It's got the wrong bottom end. I need one with eyes both ends. Oh well. Plenty of other fish in the sea I guess.
Okay, so its Saturday and I've got some spare time this weekend. Not raining yet so let's get out to the gargre early and drag out the bike. Those front fork stanchions are looking very sorry, and I've picked up some replacement forks at Buckets and Bits which will do the job nicely. Looks to be a piece of cake to get this front wheel off. It's a little bit different to the RF, but easy enough to work out. Previous owner has done up the axle WAY too tight though so I decided ...
