Things have been quite interesting lately. Although the dream of getting a XB has faded due to financial restrictions, I am about to be getting a great deal on a SV1000S instead. Am kinda in that place of disbelief at the moment, as have to wait for the bank to give the nod so tomorrow will be interesting. Have also been for my second ride last weekend with the girls. We went down to St Arnaud and although it was overcast most of the time it was great. There ...

The trip down was unusual in that none of the normal dramas took place and, baa for one small “discussion” regarding some 20 000 merino sheep NZ once sent to Kyryzstan as a gesture of friendship to improve he std of the Kyrgyz stock, there was very little kiwi baiting…phew. But I rang her last night, on our 9th, and it is no longer her birthday for her even though it is for me! Time warps. Yesterday I did very German things. Or rather, very tourist-in-Germany things. Such as sitting in a beer garden with ...
Borrowed a friend's cherished V-Strom for the weekend. Had a marvellous day whizzing around North and West, stopped in Helensville for a cuppa, then down Souf to see The Rider's Mum for another cuppa. Riding home through Avondale and a young guy opened his car door into us! One minute we're pootling (slowly) along, next minute we're on the ground! Coincidenally there was a completely unrelated crash at a nearby intersection within moments of ours. ...
