  2. Steampunk inspired veteran bike build

    Got the tailite done, spent a while polishing then fitted two 12V festoon bulbs,added an old indicator lens that got painted red & made a copper visor

  3. Steampunk inspired veteran bike build

    Progress is progressing progressively, been working on tidying the footboards that were actually a pair of ali castings meant to grace vintage car running boards
    Also got the tail lite sorted, Ill start with an old carbide miners lamp & add 12V guts....

  4. Birth of and R6 Superstock #1

    Most of you will know i had a season ending crash at Taupo last December, when i say season ending i was out of racing for 3 months on Doctors orders and missed the Tri Series, Taupo Endurance, PMCC and NZ Nationals.
    After alot of talking and thinking i decided that i would make the next NZ Nationals my ultimate goal and use the year to build up my race craft, riding skills and general fitness.
    The biggest decision was do i compete in Super Sport or try the new Super Stock class, the ...

    Spent the day organsizing the back wheel bits
    Robbed the hub out of a spare jappa back wheel & stripped a 23" front wheel, from a '79 XL/XR500 ,down to its naked rim
    Ill get them bead blasted ,respoked , powder coated in satin creme then Ill rebearing & reseal the result
    Then its a new sprocket & trials tyre time

  7. can you help me mate

    I was out riding my motorbike (00 Suzuki TF125) today at the local river and i had been riding it the whole day. just bought it. always made a slight tapping sound. anyway rode it for the whole day then all of a sudden it stopped. still got spark. compression. fuel. and air still turns over, but doesnt want to start now. what else should i do before it start deassembling it. is it possible that its just worn piston ring, down on comp than normal
