Blimey, glad we are not handing out lumps of ice. The families of the Titanic victims would be really pissed with us over that.

I ws going to suggest that we hand out Kiwifruit instead of oranges, but we might get done for taking the piss out of the farmers who have been hit by that fruit bug going around.

We could hand out cockroaches, might offend the STD clinics though

Scraping the bottom of the barrel....oh, did I say bottom, sorry gay community

FFS.....let the pig arsed media say what they like, they might even say we stole the toys if they felt like it

Really, I'm looking forward to handing over one thing, a toy for these kiddies who are ill the poor little chickens, I just hope we can bring a bit of fun into their struggle, them and their families

Get along and do the same people, twill be fun...

We had a small discussion on this issue this morning. The concensus is YES! We will go ahead even if it is raining. Trust me on this, I really hope it is NOT raining, I have leaky pants

Lara Syddall, Chief Executive of Heart Kids will be at Cyclespot.

She was really pleased that this was happening and said that the toys will be handed out on the ward on xmas day by the big fella, Santa no less.

A lot of these kids are really really ill, in the three years that my little Heart Kid has lived I personally know of four families that haven't been as fortunate as ours.

Some of the kids on the heart ward are doing the hard yards, c'mon people give a little for Xmas. It's a great yet inexpensive gift.

I am hoping to get TVNZ along, fingers crossed, they did such a great job last year, hopefully this time we can get them there for the toy hand over as well.

Bear in mind guys that this is exactly the positive media attention we desperately need.

Sometime it's nice to perform charitable acts without recognition - other times it's imperative that you're seen to be performing those acts.

This is the sort of thing that MAG-NZ is all about. When we came to Taupo, we came for some R & R and a meeting. That was a side issue to what we were there for. We raised $400 for our principal charity The NZ Spinal Trust, by rattling tiny kiddie plastic buckets around the streets on Saturday morning. That was a much fun as the BBQ afterwards.

Motorcyclists are social creatures and for the most part get a real buzz out of putting things back in the community. We are also voters and are not afraid to raise our voices against discrimination etc.

My point is that if the media want to spin something to sell papers they will.

Not debating this here cos it aint the place.

I have my toy all wrapped up and am ready to roll

Really looking forward to this one

I'm tempted to tell the rain gods to bring it on because I'll be there whatever the weather; but they don't need any encouragement so I'll keep my trap shut

      See you there!

PS Forecast is not that bad - I just checked!
